What is seen is not the Truth
What is cannot be said
Trust comes not without seeing
Nor understanding without words
The wise comprehends with knowledge
To the ignorant it is but a wonder
Some worship the formless God
Some worship His various forms
In what way He is beyond these attributes
Only the Knower knows
That music cannot be written
How can then be the notes
Says Kabir, awareness alone will overcome illusion

The first line is enough for the whole poem. The last line should be a question and end with a “Should it?”. But then the title says it all. I have not noticed the title till I read the poem 3 times. The title makes sense if read at the end, after the poem 🙂 🙂 And thank you!
🙂
When my niece was about 6-7, I showed her a picture of Elvis and asked her who that was. She said it was the “dead, old dude”.
So, while I accept your thank you, the credit will have to go to the dead, old dude.
A poem, or any other well written text, for that matter, belongs to the one who reads it and not to the one who wrote it. Going back to passing the light 🙂 Thus, the credit and thank you is to all of those (to all of us) who is part of it now 🙂 🙂 ok, enough of that…smile 🙂
Hmm………….
Yes, it is true in an abstract, symbiotic way. The communication only works where you have all four roles – the message content creator/originator, the sender/transmitter, the transmission medium, and the recipient. The due must be given to all of those. 😛
So, thank you!!!
BTW, I am not going into who owns the created work. HUGE bag of worms there.
Of course, do not 🙂 Still, the best book ever is The Little Prince. Each time I read it, I discover so many new things for myself… It has it all about illusion, reality, and everything else.
I am on a business meeting. Should stop smiling this way. Giving an “illusion” to people around 🙂 🙂
He he 🙂
