Walking on the moonlit path,
An open sky, a field of flowers
The crickets are singing their never-ending song of mating,
The breeze is light, softly kissing my lips
The trees murmur –
Go, do not stop!
The stars agree –
We will show you the way
The moon, silently –
I am there
How did I get here?
Now
Where am I going?
There
Why?
That’s what I do
Alone?
In solitude
The field ends,
Nothing but blackness remains
Welcoming,
Yet I am afraid
Your soft voice whispers –
Jump, I am there.
The mind screams –
STOP, you cannot, the death awaits!
The wind nudges along –
Yes
The crickets sing –
Where to?
The moon holds its breath
With pregnant silence
And the stars?
They just are
Stretching my arms wide,
I release the ground…
